David Balfour is a highly experienced and accomplished educator and film industry professional with a diverse range of skills and expertise. He has worked in various roles in film and television across the UK and LA, and has also held teaching positions at SAE, University of Melbourne and the Met Film School in London before joining the Australian Film Television & Radio School in 2014.
At AFTRS, David is Director of Teaching & Learning. In his current role, he is responsible for the overall management and development of teaching and learning programs at AFTRS, including the design and delivery of courses, curriculum development, and student support.
David is a graduate of the National Film & Television School in the UK with an MA in Producing. He is also a member of the ASPERA Executive committee, which is an Australian organization that promotes and supports screen production education and research.
