The Very Short Film Festival’s 2026 National Tour officially began in Sydney, with a packed house at Palace Cinemas on 1 July for an evening celebrating Australian short filmmaking.
Audiences enjoyed a showcase of award-winning films, finalists and standout selections from this year’s festival, followed by a Q&A with participating filmmakers. It was a fantastic way to launch the tour, bringing filmmakers and audiences together to celebrate the creativity, diversity and talent of Australia’s emerging screen storytellers.
