Introducing the Finalists: Very Short Film Festival 2023!
We are absolutely thrilled by the tremendous response we’ve received this year. From every corner of Australia, we were inundated with an astounding number of entries. The calibre of submissions we received was truly remarkable, showcasing incredible talent from filmmakers across the country. At the Very Short Film Festival, we are passionate about celebrating the art of storytelling and providing a platform for emerging voices. This year, the filmmakers have surpassed our expectations with their exceptional works. It is with great excitement that we announce the outstanding lineup of finalists for this year’s festival. These films cover a diverse range of subjects and themes, each one a testament to the creativity and vision of its respective filmmaker. Some will make you question the very fabric of human existence, while others confront pressing social and environmental issues. There are films that will evoke tears and those that will make you feel all warm and fuzzy. We couldn’t be prouder to share this compelling selection with all of you. Save the date: Friday, May 26th at 6:15 pm, for the live-streamed event where you will have the opportunity to experience these remarkable films firsthand. Through the screenings, you will gain insight into the judges’ decision-making process and understand why these films were chosen as the finalists.
