The Very Short Film Festival Audience Heart Award is now open, with all 20 finalist films from the 2025 festival now live online. After touring across Australia, these powerful contemporary short films are available for the community to watch and vote on.
From comedy to documentary, experimental work to intimate character pieces, this year’s finalists explore relationships, identity, mental health, isolation, family, resilience and Australia’s reefs and environments. It’s a vibrant snapshot of emerging and established Australian short filmmakers at their best.
To vote, simply watch the finalist films across the Open and Junior categories, choose your favourite in each, and submit your votes. You’ll go into the draw to win a VSFF merch pack (t-shirt + tea towel). Voting closes 7 December.
