[Monday 9 November 2020, from 2:20:00]

Leon Compton interviews Leta Keens our judge, and well respected writer and editor.

Leta says, ‘I think 2020 has made us realise, even more than ever, the importance of all forms of storytelling. As a writer, of course I love the written word, but I’ve been reminded this year just how powerful film can be. I’m not a film maker by any means, nor are any of my friends and family, but the cameras on our phones have been working overtime making very short films as a way of keeping in touch with each other during lockdown and border closures. Lots of good things have come out of this very strange time we’re all going through, and the Very Short Film Festival is one of them – I’m thrilled to be involved in it, and am so looking forward to the stories that come out of it.’
